The East Coast offers rock, cobblestone, and boulder-bottom breaks. Many waves break closer to shore than conventional beginner beach breaks. We surf where the day sends us.
How we choose the break.
Break selection depends on swell, weather, ability, and safety. Brent scouts each morning and each group makes the call together.
The primary retreat is designed for intermediate through advanced surfers. Beginner departures may be offered when the entire group is organized around beginner instruction — we do not mix one beginner into an advanced group.
Small groups and local flexibility create the possibility of quieter sessions, but surf and crowds can never be guaranteed.
We do not publish or identify sensitive local surf spots.
